Construction Safety Coordinator Details:

  • Direct Hire position
  • $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 /annually
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)
  • The Safety Coordinator is responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment across all construction projects. This role ensures adherence to OSHA standards, conducts safety training, performs regular site inspections, and works with project teams to mitigate potential hazards. The Safety Coordinator is essential to fostering a culture of safety and preventing workplace accidents and injuries.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and company regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections on construction sites to identify and address hazards.
  • Lead safety meetings, trainings, and orientations for new employees and subcontractors.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure safety protocols are integrated into project plans.
  • Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation as required by OSHA and company policies.
  • Assist in emergency response planning and readiness, including drills and first aid support.

Construction Safety Coordinator Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in construction safety, with knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-hour, CSP, CHST) preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
