Set Up Brake Press Operator Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
17.50 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift
- Set up or set up and operate power-press machines or power brake machines to bend form, stretch, notch, punch or straighten metal as specified by work order, blueprints, drawing, templates or layout.
- Work with Plant Manager and area supervisor to schedule the production of goods to meet due dates.
- Train all personnel to safely and effectively run the machinery and meet production rates.
- Set up machines and perform hourly production quality checks to maintain zero scrap and overrun, ensuring products meet required standards.
- Follow company Lockout/tagout procedures when performing maintenance and setup.
- Ensure all production records are on time and accurate.
- Maintain an organized work environment.
- Maintain an accurate and organized inventory.
- Other duties as assigned.
Set Up Brake Press Operator Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication setting.
- Ability to set up machines and read blueprints.
- Knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and the ability to perform inspections on finished products.
- Ability to lift to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time.
