Purchasing Agent for a healthy homebuilder in Irvine. MUST HAVE purchasing experience in homebuilding industry including multifamily product types. $120K - $140K DOE + bonus potential and strong benefits package.

Purchasing Agent (home builder) Details:
Direct Hire position- $
120,000.00 to $ 140,000.00 / annually First Shift ( Monday throughFriday )
- Prepare and send out request for proposal bid packages for both onsite and offsite trades.
- Analyze, negotiate, and execute contracts for onsite and offsite construction.
- Prepare Purchase Orders and cost sheets for job starts; generate all contracts.
- Perform cost per square foot and budget comparisons.
- Maintain project budget during construction.
- Set up rebate schedule for each job.
- Meet with client/owner at offsite locations for general contracting work.
- Monthly job cost meetings with owner.
- Value engineering, cost studies.
- Contract document review and analysis.
Purchasing Agent (home builder) Qualifications:
- MUST HAVE previous homebuilding purchasing experience.
- Experience purchasing Single and Multifamily product types.
- Project development and purchasing experience in high end fast paced residential construction.
- Contract negotiating, scope and specification writing.
- Ability to successfully handle client/contractor relations and work with multiple deadlines.
- Proficient in Windows, Outlook, Excel and Word.
Desired but not necessary:
- Budgeting and purchasing for all offsite improvements a plus.
- JD Edwards experience a plus.
