Coffee Analysis Lab Technician Details:
Contract position- $
28.00 / hour First Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 08:00am to05:00pm )
- Uses prescribed recipes or DOEs to grind, batch, brew, filtrate, CIP and processing coffee extractions
- Assists will Quality analysis & tasting set ups, executions and clean ups
- Willingness to taste coffee and to provide an opinion desired (not required)
- Accurately maintains inventory levels of raw material to be used (Green & Roasted coffee) for experimentation & quality analysis.
- Assists with lab analytical testing as prescribed by food scientist
- Prepare samples as assigned by scientists
- Lab organization, cleaning and support
- Assists with equipment preparation/start up/shut downs independently after trained on the steps
- Move product and required documentation through different parts of facility
- Suggest Process improvements as opportunities are observed
- Operate Material Handling Equipment as necessary (no certification required)
- Package and ship materials as requested by food scientists
- Comply with Food Safety/Quality requirements
Coffee Analysis Lab Technician Qualifications:
- Some College - desired
- Prior Lab experience, experience in Pilot plants
- Prior experience with food preparation or manufacturing
- Eager to learn and passionate about coffee
- Willing to taste, lift 50lbs, perform repetitive tasks as assigned for required testing
- Attention to detail and ability to follow direction fully
- Ability to be trusted to collected data when necessary, be accurate and to work independently when necessary
- Any additional experience in coffee, food manufacturing or granulation technology is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
