Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Machine Operator Lead Details:

Temp-to-Hire position
$23.00 to $24.00 /hour
Full Time work available
Weekend work required
Third Shift (Sunday through Sunday from 06:45pm to 07:00am)

Training will be for approximately 3 months on days (6:45am-7pm)
Responsible to ensure Quality Standards are met for all production on site
Support the Plant Manager in all aspects of machine production/shift efficiency
Perform and enforce the necessary disciplinary policies and procedures
Perform any reasonable task specified by Management

Machine Operator Lead Qualifications:

2 years of recent experience as a team lead in a manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical experience is required
Must be able to demonstrate "hands on" working approach with regards to mechanical principles
Ability to sit, climb, stand, crawl, bend and walk on a varying basis throughout assigned work schedule
Ability to carry and/or lift up to 50 pounds

Applicant may be subject to a background check
Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
