posing as
our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been
reported
in multiple states.
The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job.
Some have
reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background
checks.
What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?
Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood
Staffing
should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and
financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Elwood Staffing does not utilize applications to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you
or
request that you use the WhatsApp application for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of
birth, or
bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode
protect it.
