Description
Machine Operator
We are seeking a Fiberglass Winder Machine Operator to join our Rochester team. This position is responsible for operating winding machines that process fiberglass thread.

Machine Operator Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
16.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 07:00am to03:30pm )
- Start and monitor winder machine(s), making adjustments as needed
- Thread fiberglass through guides and rollers of winding machines
- Replace depleted supply packages
- Observe machine operations to detect defects or malfunctions Inspect finished glass-fiber parts
- Wipe down machine flange area and keep the workstation clean
- Assist with changing machine mandrels
- Weigh finished products and document completion
- Maintain consistent production quality and safety standards
- Forklift operation
Machine Operator Qualifications:
- Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting Heavy-duty physical work (up to 100 lbs occasionally)
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Exposure to industrial noise, fumes, dust, and chemicals
- Must be able to accurately read a tape measurer
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Comfortable completing routine forms and documentation
- Reliable attendance is required
