Medical Billing Specialist Details:
Temporary position- $
25.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 08:00am to05:00pm )
- Temporary for up to 12 weeks. Full time 40 hours/week
- Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies (electronically and paper claims)
- Review and correct claim errors for re-submission
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve billing issues
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
- Work with patients and insurance companies to resolve billing inquiries
- Maintain billing records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards
Medical Billing Specialist Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Medical Billing Specialist or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of medical billing systems and EMR software (e.g., Epic, Medisoft, Kareo, etc.)
- Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing is a plus
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
