Purchasing Agent Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
27.00 to $ 31.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughThursday from 05:30am to04:00pm )
- Order raw materials as needed to keep stock at a functional level
- Maintain low inventory and working capital
- Procurement of miscellaneous items & services requested on
- Purchase Request Form
- Verify spending limit authority and check necessary info
- Set up long terms pricing agreements with top suppliers
- Negotiate best discounts & payment terms with all suppliers and freight companies
- Obtain pricing quotes for Sales Department
- Acquire sample materials for qualification programs and/or R&D projects
- Filing and maintaining of purchase orders
- Perform all necessary functions in SAP system
Purchasing Agent Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, ideally within a manufacturing environment
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook) and experience with ERP or MRP systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
