Carpentry tech Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
18.00 to $ 20.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 08:00am to05:00pm )
- Build, assemble, and prepare construction mock-ups and test specimens for fire testing.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and test specifications
- Use hand and power tools to cut, fasten, and install materials
- Assist with setup, monitoring, and breakdown of fire tests
- Maintain organized and safe workspaces, adhering to company and industry safety standards
- Support engineering and lab teams with technical tasks as needed
- Document materials used and work performed for test records
Carpentry tech Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in construction, carpentry, or related field (entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude considered)
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings and instructions
- Comfortable working with various construction materials (wood, drywall, steel, insulation, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physical, hands-on environment Safety-focused mindset;
- prior lab or testing experience a plus
