Candidates should be organized self-starters with the ability to establish and exceed benchmarks for quality customer service. As a Trades Recruiter, you will serve as a customer service representative to client companies as well as conduct service calls, develop pools of candidates for employment and maintain the office. Overall the successful recruiting candidate will be self-motivated, driven, and strive to exceed goals and expectations.

Essential Functions of a Skilled Trades Recruiter:

  • Establish working relationships with branch staff and regional management teams to gain their cooperation and support for recruitment training and initiatives.
  • Identify and maintain regular contact with recruiting sources which can generate prospective in-market candidates with skills that meet current and prospective client needs.
  • Complete other assignments assigned by Manager in an accurate and timely manner. Collaborate with Business Development Manager and Corporate Sales management to maintain an ongoing awareness of open positions.

General Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Recruit, pre-qualify prospective candidates and introduce them to branch personnel/clients as appropriate.
  • Serve as customer service representative to staff for client companies and interview candidates for placement on job assignments
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion when hiring candidates, identifying candidates for placement on specific job assignments and in counseling and terminating temporary associates
  • Ensure associates meet or exceed clients expectations with respect to attendance, skillset, and attitude
  • Sales, outbound sales calls, skill marketing, recruiting
  • Service operations; interviewing, payroll, and participate in internal or external recruiting events as needed
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and comply with them in all work activities
  • Provide Superior Customer Service in all aspects of the job

Desired Skills & Experience for a Skilled Trades Recruiter:

  • College degree or equivalent years of experience and training
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an administrative, human resources, recruiting or related discipline desired
  • 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced professional office environment preferred
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to learn
  • Service driven, organized and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced and busy office with changing priorities
  • Able to effectively communicate with all levels of company personnel and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Feel comfortable making and receiving high volume calls
  • Superior Customer Service Skills
  • Excellent data entry skills
  • Solid computer program knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Preferred but not mandatory experience in recruiting within oil & gas, construction, electrical, aerospace or related industry (training is provided to help better comprehend the industries)
