Elwood Staffing is looking for mechanics who want to learn to work as a diesel mechanic and experience diesel mechanics!
Starting wage is 20 and Level A, B and C- $24-30/ hour DOE

This client is a licensed, insured and locally owned heavy-duty truck repair shop with over 75 years of combined heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience. Our mechanics are cross-trained in all areas of truck repair and specialize in aviation refueler truck maintenance. We proudly serve Salem, Oregon from our full-service truck repair shop, capable of handling basic to complex heavy-duty truck & equipment repairs.

Diesel Mechanic Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
20.00 to $ 30.00 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
First Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 07:00am to03:30pm )
- Shift is flexible, either 7:00am to 3:30pm, 7:30am to 4:00pm or 8:00am to 4:30pm
- PPE provided
- Level A, B and C- $24-30/ hour DOE
Diesel Mechanic Qualifications:
- Clean driving record
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Some mechanical background.
- CDL preferred, but not required.
- Must be able to perform chassis inspections, oil chances, filter service
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
